In the first quarter of 2021, the Brazilian Android gaming market saw varied performance among the top racing games. Insights from Sensor Tower provide a snapshot of the trends in downloads and weekly active users for these popular apps.
Gear Race 3D, published by Zynga, experienced fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 291K in late January before dipping to 98K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting strong at 409K in the first week of January and then gradually descending to 171K.
Shortcut Run by VOODOO saw a significant drop in downloads from 253K at the end of December to 81K in early March, followed by a resurgence to 230K towards the end of the quarter. Active users started at 837K and reached a low of 602K in March, before climbing back to 706K.
Ivy's Street Racing 3D showed a similar pattern, with downloads decreasing from 172K at the beginning of the period to 159K at the end, and active users fluctuating, ending with an increase to 805K from an earlier low of 621K in January.
Rally Fury - Extreme Racing, from Refuel Games Pty Ltd, had a more positive trajectory in downloads, rising from 90K to 115K over the quarter. Its active users also increased, peaking at 370K in early March before settling at 292K.
Lastly, aquapark.io, another VOODOO title, saw downloads vary, with a high of 193K in late December and a low of 50K in March. Active users decreased from 1.17M to 755K during the quarter.
